Tadler Law LLP is pleased to announce that Brooke A. Achua has joined the firm’s New York office as associate.

A former At-Large Director of the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, Brooke focuses her practice in complex litigation and has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in class action claims, food and beverage labeling litigation, antitrust suits, contract disputes, and trade secret litigation.

As a litigator, Brooke has managed forensic analysis of electronic discovery in cybersecurity actions, defended small-business owners from a variety of breach of contract claims, and propelled class certification forward through her effective representation of a class of merchants in a price-fixing suit.

In addition to her previous involvement with the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, Brooke is also a member of the Federal Bar Association Minnesota Chapter. In 2018, Brooke was named a “North Star Lawyer” by the Minnesota State Bar Association for providing at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services. Most recently, Brooke volunteered her time providing pro bono assistance to low-income victims of domestic violence through the Tubman Pro Bono Safety Project.

Brooke earned a J.D., cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
